Recall

A consistent RECALL behavior is critical for our dogs regardless if you are in the house, on a walk, in a park… When we ask our dog to come over to us, we want them to leave what ever they are currently engaging with and find and come to you.

Sit-Stay-Release or Down-Stay-Release

One of the first things a lot of pet parents teach their furry companion is Sit and/or Down.  However, getting the dog to stay until they are told it is ok to stand back up is often skipped.  Work with your dog to build the duration of Sit/Down and teach your dog to stay until you tell them to stand up.

Loose Leash Walking

Meet and Greets on a Leash

This Module works best when you first take Getting and Keeping your dog’s attention and the Anti-Jumping Modules. Meeting humans, kids, other dog’s on leash can lead to certain undesired behaviors.  It is not natural for dogs to meet face to face! Work on ways to keep those meet and greets calm. We will discuss best equipment to use with our dogs.

Anti Jumping

4 on the Floor! Our Dog’s innocently learn that jumping up get them some kind of reward.  Puppies jump on a humans leg and are given pets and told they are cute. Dog jumps up the table and grabs the lunch meat off the table/counter and gets to eat something yummy! Work with your dog to extinguish Jumping.

Go to Place

A Place for everything and everything in its place.   Our dogs too can learn to go to the right place in every situation.  For example, teaching your dog stay on a small area rug near your dog when the door is opened. At bed time, your dog stays on its bed.  The possibilities are endless.

A critical skill for all city dogs. Teaching and Practicing these related skills together.
